The readings of this Liturgical Memorial of St. Cecilia, Virgin and Martyr, delivers a serious consolation for me as a Virgin at the age of 47 years old.
The Gospel according to Luke 20:27-40 proclaims a reality of mystery of the resurrection. To neither marry nor be given in marriage delivers an objective condition of the body preserved like the angels of Heaven. For it is an intellectual condition to be Virgin.
